"Wet Summer is about the struggle of being an artist and feeling torn between wanting to create music you love and that you’re proud of, and wanting to please the industry in order to build a career. I often find myself in limbo between these two mind sets, letting the pressure get to me, which makes it difficult to protect my own art. It’s something I have to constantly be aware of in order to remember what’s really important, which in my opinion is to nourish the joy of creating and expressing yourself though art, no matter what happens."
